Gum recession tooth sensitivity

The first sign of gum recession is usually tooth sensitivity , or you may notice a tooth looks longer than normal. Typically, a notch can be felt near the gum line.

When gums begin to recede, they slowly transform from pink and healthy to red and swollen. But sore gums can be a sign of a serious problem. It’s important to understand why sensitivity occurs, as well as the symptoms and treatments for soreness.

In other words, the only reason gums recede is because the bone that supports the gum tissue has withdrawn. Incidentally, there’s a direct connection between receding gums and sensitive teeth. But if the enamel is worn down or if the gum line has recede then the dentin becomes exposed.
