Can we use listerine everyday

There are actually quite a few unexpected alternative uses for Listerine. I can use it as underarm deodorant, toenail fungus remover, and flea repellent for my dog. Originally developed as a surgical antiseptic, Listerine is widely used as a mouthwash today.

But it should be used twice a day to reach its deep-clean effectiveness. After all, germs are in your mouth all day, every day, and one swish only protects you for hours.

Listerine has been around for decades, but while the company has tried to improve its image by coming out with different flavors, the main ingredients remain the same… with the most noxious and unsafe ingredients being the alcohols. Less saliva means less calcium and minerals flowing through to the enamel. You could use an alcohol free mouth wash more than once a day without problems, but its not really necessary. The alcohols in Listerine.

If you suffer from dry mouth, I recommend you use an alcohol-free mouthwash like Crest ProHealth or Listerine Zero. ACT makes a great alcohol-free mouthwash that is specially formulated to help with dry mouth. Biotene also makes a mouthwash designed to help specifically with dry mouth symptoms (no fluoride though).

If there is a lot of inflammation and periodontal disease (gum disease) then I would like to put the patients on a Listerine regimen until the health of the gums stabilizes.

Use the proper amount, and do not swallow it. Mouthwash is not recommended for children under age 1 with the exception of fluoride mouthwashes like Act, which can be used with adult supervision by children as young as age as long as they are able to swish without swallowing. Some rinses containing alcohol can dry the soft tissues of the mouth and may contribute to mouth sores.

It can be a great addition to your daily oral health routine if you are already in the habit of giving your mouth a quick rinse , but it is not an essential. Saltwater rinses can be made at home with warm water and salt, whereas store-bought types contain a variety of ingredients ranging from fluoride (Act) to alcohol (Listerine) to chlorhexidine (Peridex). Listerine mouthwash is a great go-to option if you need fresh breath, but this popular product can do so much more.

Its antibacterial properties are ideal for many DIY remedies, and its strong smell is useful too. Here are awesome uses for Listerine. Use Listerine to clean glass. I use this on glass, countertops, pet messes, and toilets.

You can use it liberally on any surface. Yes, Listerine can be bad for you. There are safer ways to keep your smile bright and your breath fresh. No substitute : There is no substitute for floss, listerine disrupts the balance of organisms in your mouth by killing the good and bad bacteria so if you use listerine routinely, be sure to eat lots of yogurt to replenish the good bacteria.

To take something means you are partaking of it. To use listerine means you rinse your mouth with it.

Keeping other parts of your mouth, such as your gums, healthy can benefit your overall health by preventing the spread of germs and disease. At-home care should be supplemented by professional care. When plaque or tartar develops, a dentist or oral hygienist will use special tools to scrape (scale) the teeth clean without damage.

But many people wonder: do you really need to use mouthwash everyday ? Sure, when it’s used properly, it can help inhibit oral disease and tooth decay. But do you need mouthwash as a part of your daily routine to have optimal oral.
