Homemade remineralizing mouthwash

Calcium carbonate powder : for remineralizing teeth. Stevia: for sweetness without sugar (optional). Concentrated trace minerals liquid: for remineralizing teeth. Peppermint essential oil: for flavor and fresh breath.


Lemon essential oil: for whiter, brighter teeth.

Mix all powdered ingredients (calcium, baking soda , xylitol) well in a bowl. Add coconut oil one part at a time until you get desired consistency. Add any optional ingredients, including essential oils for flavor. Store in small container, like a half-pint glass jar.


This homemade remineralizing toothpaste takes advantage of the remineralizing powers of bentonite clay (rich in calcium), xylitol (its sweetness also helps cover the taste of the bitter ingredients), calcium phosphate, magnesium chloride and clove oil. Homemade Toothpaste Recipe – Remineralizing , Whitening, and Cavity-preventing. Before we get to the recipe, let’s go over each of the ingredients and why they’re so important: Filtered water – The last thing you want in your toothpaste is fluoride, chlorine and other “who knows what” additives. Shoot for filtered water in this recipe. First of all, it’s very common that commercial mouthwashes contains alcohol which has been linked to causing cancer.

What I Look for in a Mouthwash.

It must be (a little) sweet. Tbsp distilled water, or water that has been boiled and cooled. OR xylitol (optional, to taste) drops Cinnamon Bark Vitality essential oil. Clove Vitality essential oil (optional, but recommended) teeny pinch of real salt.

Finish by rubbing a few drops of Brushing Blend on my gums and tongue to discourage bacterial growth, especially at night (and because it tastes great!). Theobromine, one of the components of cacao, has shown promise in the remineralization of teeth. In fact, some have said that theobromine may be a safer, better alternative to fluoride in toothpaste.
