Does anbesol help toothache? Anbesol and Orajel are the two main local anesthetic numbing medications used to alleviate toothache pain. If you have a toothache , these two topical products can go a long way in helping you cope with and manage your condition.

Anbesol and orajel are available in liquids, gels, sprays, paste or as oral anesthesia. They contain benzocaine as the main ingredients. They will give you instant relieve from toothache.

Both these brand medications contain the same active ingredient – benzocaine, a local anesthetic. Therefore, both have similar pain-reducing properties for a toothache and canker sores pain. When applied on tissue it works by numbing painful and sensitive areas.

It does not help heal any wounds, bites of toothaches but simply helps control the pain. In order to safely apply it, first wash your hands and pat them dry. Please do NOT apply aspirin to the tooth as this will only add to her pain! Since the benzocaine is a topical numbing agent, it will probably not help very. When the source of the pain is obvious, applying an antiseptic with benzocaine directly to the sore tooth or gum will provide temporary relief from pain.

This products contains benzocaine as its active ingredient for the treatment of toothache.

Benzocaine belongs to the local anesthetic class of drug. This is most commonly used as a topical pain reliever or in cough drops. Both are prescribed to treat a toothache. See all full list on webmd. Never give any medication containing benzocaine to a child under years old.

You can clean infections and promote temporary pain relief by rinsing your mouth with warm salt water. Treating a toothache with salt water can also help heal any oral wounds and reduce inflammation. If you can’t take ibuprofen (Advil), or try to avoid medications when possible, there are several natural methods you can use to reduce the pain of a toothache. Today, instead of grinding cloves, we use clove oil. Until then I need to use something for the terrible pain so I can get by. Shockers sorry you are in same position.
